    1. The exhibit gathered not a very wide selection of his work even if it is the widest ever put on but made an excellent selection of his work in the decades and allowed the viewer to see so clearly the evolution of his work as if one was stading watching an accelerated video of the hours of one day from the same still perspective The book definitely is a must if you liked the exhibit as it completes questions and fills in context to his wonderful work Doubtlessly one of the greatest artists of our [...]

    2. Le livre offre une bonne vue d ensemble du peintre Malheureusement, je n ai pas lu le texte en anglais peut tre qu il apporte d autres l ments importants.

    3. I love Hockney s work, and found the catalog rather disappointing It seems to be aimed at students of art history the accompanying texts are about historical context which style is Hockney using or ignoring or commenting on here and sources this image is from a men s physique magazine, that one from ancient Egyptian sculpture than about the paintings it s supposedly discussing Any discussion of individual works is usually quite brief and only occasionally illuminating or helpful in examining th [...]

    4. I saw this exhibition in London last year, and was blown away It shows his evolution as an artist, always changing, always experimenting The show and book are dense, packed with his very best work from the last six decades The book itself is beautifully printed and laid out, the cover is thick and strong and meant to last This is the Hockney book of the moment.

    5. This is a lovely addition to any collection of exhibit catalogues and a great companion to the retrospective at the Tate Britain last year 2017 Substantively, I think the content is thoughtful and interesting without reading like a textbook or biography The book quality is good, though I think that the hard back version is quite a bit nicer and in retrospect, I would have shelled out a little for it over the soft back.
